The story of Alan Arnett McLeod continued

In March of 1918 the Germans began Operation Michael, the Spring Offensive. And allied aircraft were called on in even heavier rolls to try and help stem the advance.

On the 27th of March McLeod’s squadron was sent on a bombing mission but got lost in foggy weather and set down on another British aerodrome. McLeod damaged his landing gear and while he and his gunner, Lt A.W. Hammond, awaited repairs the squadron decided the weather was too poor 1/x
